A clean, modern redesign of the Info BMKG app — Indonesia's official meteorological, climatological, and geophysical agency platform — transforming critical public safety data into a UI that is as clear and calm as the weather it monitors, and as urgent as the disasters it tracks.

Three screens map the app's core functions:

Weather Screen: Karangploso, Malang — Today, 13 November 2022 — 25°C, Partly Cloudy. Wind 24 km/h, Humidity 60%, Precipitation 0%. An hourly forecast strip runs below. The dark blue gradient background with a soft illustrated cloud-and-sun icon creates a UI that feels atmospheric and immersive — weather as environment, not just data.

Home/Dashboard: The hub screen combines weather (25°C, Partly Cloudy, Karangploso) with two critical safety layers: a Recent Earthquake card (Magnitude 4.0 SR, Northeast of Tarakan, 2,433 km away) and Early Warning cards for today — Heavy Thunderstorm in Blitar, Jawa Timur and Strong Winds in Denpasar, Bali. Each warning card shows the affected sub-districts. This is BMKG's most important UX challenge solved: surfacing life-safety alerts within a weather app without causing alarm fatigue.

Earthquake Screen: A full map of the Indonesian archipelago with earthquake epicenter pins, filtered by Recent / M≥5 / Felt tabs. The detail panel shows the 13 Nov '22 event: 4.0 SR magnitude, 10 km depth, epicenter 21 km northeast of Tarakan at 8.25°S 116.00°E, felt regions I Tarakan and II Samarinda.

The five-tab bottom navigation — Weather, Air Quality, BMKG logo, Earthquake, More — is a thoughtful IA decision: the BMKG emblem as the center tab communicates institutional identity while keeping the navigation balanced.

A redesign that treats public safety information with the design quality Indonesian citizens deserve.
