Geonk Newspaper
Before Figma, before Photoshop — there was PageMaker, and Koran Geonk is the proof that great editorial instincts don't wait for the right tools.

Editorial Design — Koran Geonk
Newspaper Layout · Adobe PageMaker · Early Design Work
A collection of student newspaper layouts produced using Adobe PageMaker — one of the earliest desktop publishing applications — representing a formative milestone in the design journey. Three distinct newspaper editions are presented in a fanned stack: Radar Wearnes, Geonklesius, and Geonk Pos, each anchored by the bold red "Koran Geonk" masthead at the base.
The layouts demonstrate a confident early grasp of editorial design fundamentals: multi-column grid systems, headline hierarchy, photo placement, and the typographic rhythm of a printed broadsheet. News articles, photographs, and section headers are organized with the structured discipline that newspaper design demands — where clarity and speed of reading are everything.
A piece of design history from the PageMaker era — raw, earnest, and entirely self-taught. The beginning of a designer who never stopped building.
