Sang Kiyai

KH. Bahauddin Nursalim, KH. Maimoen Zubair, Yusuf Mansur, Gus Mitah — Sang Kiyai is the platform that brings Indonesia's most beloved Islamic scholars into a single, beautifully organized app.

App UI Design — Sang Kiyai

Mobile App · Islamic Religious Figure Platform · Indonesia

A clean, respectful five-screen app UI for Sang Kiyai — a platform dedicated to Indonesia's kiyai (Islamic religious scholars), presenting their profiles, scholarly lineage, lectures, and content in one organized digital home.

Activity Feed: A social content stream featuring lecture posters and content from prominent figures — Ustadz Yusuf Mansur's Tabligh Akbar announcement, Muhammad Sholihudin's post "Damai Negriku, Maju Bangsaku, Membongkar Bayas Imaginary Umat" — the platform functioning as a content hub for the Islamic scholarly community.

Kiyai Directory: A photo grid of Indonesia's most recognized scholars — KH. Bahauddin Nursalim / Gus Baha (559,352 likes), Yusuf Mansur (230,852), KH. Muhammad Zainul Majdi (120,352), Gus Mitah M. Hababurrahman (103,852) — ranked by follower appreciation, giving the platform a discovery layer for users exploring beyond their familiar scholars.

Scholar Profile — Gus Baha: KH. Bahauddin Nursalim Bin Kiyai Nursalim (Gus Baha'), Rembang, 36 Tahun — a full profile with photo, biographical description, and action CTAs: Lihat Kajian Ilmu Beliau (View His Lectures), Nasab Ilmu (Scholarly Lineage), Kitab yang dibutuhkan (Recommended Books), Suka Banget Kiyai Ini / Tidak Suka Kiyai Ini / Kirim Kritik dan Saran — a feedback system that treats scholarly appreciation and critique with equal dignity.

Nasab Ilmu (Scholarly Lineage): A vertical flowchart tracing Gus Baha's chain of Islamic knowledge transmission — Mbah Manuf → Mbah Manuf → KH. Maimoen Zubair → KH. Bahauddin Nursalim — the sanad (chain of transmission) that connects contemporary scholars back through generations of Islamic learning. This feature is unique to Islamic scholarly culture and demonstrates deep understanding of the tradition the app serves.

The fresh green palette — the color of Islam — communicates reverence and accessibility simultaneously. A platform that honors its subjects while making them discoverable to a new generation of Indonesian Muslims.
