The original iteration of Adin's personal portfolio website — HeySaladin — photographed live on a MacBook in a real workspace, hands on the keyboard, the designer visibly present in his own presentation.

The hero delivers the same professional declaration as its successor: "I'M DESIGNING SOLUTIONS FOR HUMAN" in bold, heavy display type — the same mission statement, the same three-discipline subtext (user experience research, user interface design, frontend development), the same direct confidence. What differs is the visual language and the era.

Where the later HeyHeySaladin features the Adinstronaut in a purple cosmos, this version introduces an earlier mascot iteration — a chibi-style character in a black cap and dark outfit, waving with casual energy, floating in the same dark background scattered with geometric shapes. The character is more grounded, more street-level, less cosmic — a designer who has arrived and is ready to work, rather than one exploring the universe.

The yellow "Let's Go!" CTA — warm, energetic, and distinctly different from the purple "Let's Talk" of the later version — communicates the momentum of a designer in his earlier career: eager, direct, moving.

The dark/light mode toggle on the left edge confirms the technical craft that goes beyond visual design. The HeySaladin gold script wordmark centered at top is consistent across both iterations — the signature that has remained even as the character around it evolved.

Copyright HeySaladin 2019 — the timestamp of a designer who was already building his identity before the industry caught up.
