A deeply personal artifact in this portfolio — Geret is the Flash-based interactive profile application built in 2011, the very project that marked the beginning of a design journey now spanning well over a decade. It is included here not despite its age, but because of it: as honest evidence of where the craft began, and how far it has traveled since.

The visual is a carefully composited digital scene — a figure seated on a vintage sofa against a warm exposed brick wall, framed photographs hanging behind, a retro boombox on a side table. The aesthetic is deliberate and cohesive: moody, cinematic, and unmistakably retro. Even at this earliest stage, there is instinct at work — an understanding that a profile is not just information, it is atmosphere. That the best way to introduce yourself is not with a list of facts, but with a world the viewer steps into.

The "GERET — GEONK RETRO" title card, set in a worn serif on a torn paper texture, sits as a handmade banner in the upper left — a typography choice that was already reaching for character and tone rather than defaulting to the generic.

Built entirely in Adobe Flash at a time when Flash was the frontier of interactive web design, this piece represents the first collision of storytelling instinct and digital craft — the origin point of a designer who has never stopped pushing both.

A reminder that every expert was once a beginner — and that the best beginnings are the ones made with genuine curiosity and zero shortcuts.
