A vibrant, illustration-driven website design for DetEksi — the youth-focused rubric of Jawa Pos Group, serving school and campus communities across Indonesia with news, lifestyle, and creative content.
The hero is immediately youth-coded: a hand-drawn editorial illustration of a girl in traffic chaos — motorbikes, exclamation marks, urban debris — paired with the feature headline "Stuck on the Street" in a bold, mixed-color display typeface. The illustration style is expressive and comic-adjacent, speaking directly to a Gen-Z audience that consumes content through visual language first.
The sky-blue header and cloud-border motif at the bottom of the hero create a dreamy, playful environment that separates DetEksi visually from the parent Jawa Pos brand — maintaining youth identity without severing the institutional connection. The clean white body and bright accent colors keep the reading experience light and energetic.
A media website that understands its audience enough to look like them.
