Mobile App Design & Development — Vacapedia
Android App · Travel Management · Java & Android Native
A clean, visually inviting travel management application built natively for Android using Java — Vacapedia brings the full richness of travel discovery and trip organization into a single, intuitive mobile experience.
The app's home screen leads with a full-width hero image carousel — vibrant travel photography that immediately transports the user, with "Fun on Beach" as the featured destination. The carousel pagination dots below invite exploration, setting a browsing cadence that feels natural and unhurried. Below the hero, destinations are organized into curated category sections — "Back to Nature" surfaces Nusa Lembongan and Parasailing; "Amazing Architecture" leads with Puputan Renon and Makam Sunan Kalijaga — a content taxonomy that speaks to Indonesia's extraordinary depth of travel experiences.
The UI palette is deliberately fresh and airy — sky blue navigation bar, clean white content cards, and rich photography doing the heavy lifting of visual appeal. The card-grid layout strikes the right balance between information density and visual breathing room, allowing users to browse multiple categories without cognitive overload.
The hand-holding phone mockup against a soft-focus travel map background is a smart presentation choice — it grounds the app in the act of travel planning itself, reminding the viewer exactly who this product is for and where they'll be when they use it.
A native Android travel app that proves you don't need cross-platform frameworks to build something that feels genuinely polished and purposeful.
