Bali JS

Javascript Enthusiast Community in Island of Gods — Bali.JS's website is as warm and vibrant as the community it represents.

Web Design — Bali.JS

Community Website · JavaScript Developer Community · Bali, Indonesia

A warm, illustration-forward website for Bali.JS — a volunteer-run JavaScript developer community in Bali, described as "a place where our members have a good time talking about programming, sharing their knowledge and meeting other passionate folks. We keep it friendly, inclusive and positive."

The design is an immediate expression of that spirit. The warm amber-gold background wraps the entire layout in Bali's signature sunshine warmth, while the white card hero creates a clean stage for the illustration — the same Balinese developer duo from the portfolio's hero illustration, here placed in the full website context they were designed for.

The hero copy — "Javascript Enthusiast Community in Island of Gods" — is a perfect headline: technically specific (JS community), culturally specific (Island of Gods = Bali), and emotionally warm. It tells you exactly who this is for and makes you feel welcome before you've clicked anything. The subtext confirms the community's ethos: volunteer-run, borrowed spaces, shared knowledge, good vibes.

The minimal navigation — Events, Join — strips the site to its two most important conversion actions: come to an event, become a member. An "Explore" CTA below the copy invites deeper browsing for the curious.

A community website that feels like the community itself — open, warm, and built with care.
