Web Design — IDN Times

Online Media Website · News & Lifestyle · Indonesia

A clean, editorial web design for IDN Times — one of Indonesia's largest millennial-focused digital media platforms, covering news, pop culture, lifestyle, entertainment, and community content.

The homepage opens with a "What's Hot" editorial banner — a scrolling ticker that surfaces the most urgent headlines before the user has even registered the navigation. It's an effective media UX device: acknowledge that readers are always mid-news-cycle, and meet them there.

The hero grid is a classic editorial mosaic: a large primary story card (a musician on stage under stage lights) anchors the left two-thirds, with four secondary story cards filling the right column — each with a thumbnail, headline, and timestamp. The image-first, text-second layout communicates IDN Times' audience-first philosophy: show the story visually before asking for a click.

The navigation — News, Hype, Life, Girls, Community — maps the publication's editorial verticals, each representing a distinct reader segment and content tone. The red IDN Times wordmark with its characteristic stylized "I" letterform is instantly recognizable across the Indonesian digital media landscape.

A "Trending" section begins below the hero, surfacing the content that's driving the most engagement in real time — the algorithmic layer of a modern news platform built into the page architecture rather than bolted on.

A news website that understands its audience reads quickly, shares freely, and always wants to know what's happening right now.
